Partners In Rehab FAQS

Partners In Rehab is a privately owned, free-standing out-patient physical therapy clinic. The business had its origin in 2003. At that time, Karen and her husband, Mike Jasper, envisioned a modest clinic that would provide one-on-one treatment for patients. As the name implies, services are a collaboration between the therapist and patient. Partners In Rehab is committed to exemplary outcomes for those we serve.

In order to best serve our clients, the practice was expanded in June 2006 with the opening of our Bedford facility.

Frequently Asked Questions
    Will my insurance cover therapy?

Insurance coverage today is very confusing. Our office staff will verify your benefits and explain the coverage to you.
    What is my financial responsibility?

As per your insurance plan, you may be asked to remit a co-pay or deductible.
How do I get started at therapy?

Most patients are referred by their doctor, however Pennsylvania now has Direct Access. This means a patient may go directly to a credentialed Physical Therapist. The therapist will perform an evaluation and render treatment for one month. If the patient desires further treatment after that period, a physician must be contacted and a prescription obtained.
    Is scheduling appointments difficult?

Appointments will be scheduled within 24 hours of a physician referral to the clinic.
Do I need a referral from my doctor?

Patients with Medicare always need a doctor's order. Other insurance companies are now honoring Direct Access in Pennsylvania.

    Will it hurt?

The therapists and PT assistants are sensitive to the patients' comfort level during therapy. Sometimes a certain amount of discomfort is experienced.
How long will I receive PT?

A course of physical therapy can range from one visit to three months.
Will I have PT with other patients?

If the area being treated requires privacy, treatment will be administered in a separate room. If not, you may be seen in the gym area with other patients.
